Imagine discovering an undated manuscript titled “The Revelation given to Joseph the Revelator.” It includes high-level theology about God, pre-mortality, creation, and humanity’s eternal purpose. A Joseph Smith Historian would say: “This is mature Nauvoo theology—1843 or later.” But the manuscript was dictated two months after the Church was organized. This Manuscript was what we now call THE BOOK OF MOSES. One of the biggest misunderstandings of Latter-Day Saints is that the Book of Moses was just part of the Joseph Smith Translation. But this Book wasn’t a tweak of Genesis. Moses 1 arrived as a standalone revelation before the JST began. And its theology is ancient. A few months later: Joseph expanded Enoch’s story in ways that closely match other ancient Enochic texts—including specific names and themes— which weren’t discovered or translated into English until a century later. So how did a 24-year-old farmer, with no access to Hebrew, apocrypha, or libraries, produce an “ancient apocryphal masterpiece” before he had barely started leading a church? @rob_stod My Grandpa was a student at the U, because of hostility towards the church from professors, he cheered for BYU. My Dad also went to the U and despised their classless fans. Growing up in SLC as a BYU fan I was ridiculed by Ute fans as a kid. I still love watching them lose.

@Combat_learjet Agree. I live in a small town and don't have long lights. As soon as it goes off it's time accelerate. Multiple times I've parked my Jeep, turned it off, but really I'm turning it back on because the auto shut off already shut it off and thus my engine is on when I get out.
