@RugbyGerrit @Hughesy9420 @bencoles_ I’m going to ask this question, why is the TMO over ruling it? Was it a clear and obvious that the ref made a mistake, answer is no. It should remain with the refs call or as usual it gets sent to the video for the ref to make the call.

@Hughesy9420 @bencoles_ Calls get corrected. That happens. But once it’s knock-on advantage and you kick the ball away, the risk is yours.

Steve Borthwick afterwards mentioned the confusion around this knock-on. Fin Smith kicked the ball away, having been told England had a penalty advantage, right as Nika Amashukeli said it was just a knock-on (after a call from the TMO) and that advantage was over. Led to Bielle-Biarrey's fourth (!) try. "I think that World Rugby needs to look at that kind of situation. You can't have the players playing with certain knowledge and then it taken away from them."

That penalty is a disgrace I hate United, but we need to put rivalry aside and fight this incompetent organization. 1. It's a coming together 2. VAR should only interfere when the ref has done an obvious mistake. This is highly subjective.
