If we have not empowered families to play an active role in learning prior to this upheaval we are experiencing, we have that opportunity now and it will serve us well when we get children back in schools. I suspect that will look a lot different going forward. #suptchat #edchat

We’re gearing up keep our kids (ages 2 and 5) at home when the schools close. We work full time and honestly don’t know what’s next. I put together a list of projects that don't rely on screens for learning. In no particular order.👇

Don't tell your students to just breathe. Use strategies that help them regulate their body and get their mind focused on something other than the problem they are facing in that moment. We added these to our schoolwide sensory calming kits today. PS, they're good for us too.
