@4SUB4732 Is the long term aim to restore it back to mainline standards?

Car One was loaded last night at Margate and is now on the way to Ramparts at Barrow Hill where the cosmetic restoration can begin. A huge project that has been over six years in the making, a very proud day for the team.

I’ve been around the project for 27 years and fronted it for the last 7 so this is one hell of a day for me personally.

Day 2 of 6, another work from home day. Today’s my booked route refresh day, seeing as I’m up to date on all the routes I sign I’m taking the chance to view the resignalling video for the PDL showing where all the new signals and signs will be when it goes live next month.

Back to work yesterday after a full weekend of volunteering for #RAIL200 events and a nice way to round the day off was to be given this beauty to drive at the end of the shift.

In deepest Kent I was working in n a test patch to establish how much it will cost to strip the paint of a coach, to budget the whole project. This little bit cost £6.
