Another heuristics: the higher crypto markets go, the more fragile they become and the longer crypto markets go without a big deleveraging event, the more likely it becomes - in this sense they have a sort of anti-lindy effect.

This liquidation event may look like unprecedented to the unitiated, and given its size its certainly record breaking However, while its bigger than usual, its not really that unique. There are couple of deleveraging events every cycle, some smaller, some larger. Its almost like a natural part of crypto markets. I learned to always count with delevaraging events as a real probability and have a contingency and strategy for them (hint: ceteris paribus, without any deeper info its EV+ to buy from forced sellers).
