@taylorotwell I love that idea. Takes back to the days of 5.x, where basic auth and UI was included. As someone who first discovered Laravel in the 2.x days, I fully support it.

In the next few weeks we'll be kicking off work on new Laravel starter kits. Here's what I'm thinking... I don't think the starter kits should be packages. Instead, I think they should just be GitHub repositories you clone. All of the code lives in your application, no "install" commands or copying files around. Just clone a starter kit and start building. 🔨 Think something like "laravel/simple-starter-kit" and "laravel/saas-starter-kit"... and maybe more in the future? "laravel/api-starter-kit"... "laravel/ai-starter-kit"? Easy to inspect what is included, easy to accept community contributions. 👍 Thinking the simple starter kit would be the equivalent of today's Laravel Breeze. Basic registration, authentication, password reset, profile management. The SaaS starter kit would include all of that, teams, Stripe Checkout integration with Cashier, and more. 💰 Both totally free and open source. Livewire and Inertia 2.0 flavors. Tailwind 4. Maybe something like @shadcn for the Inertia variant? What do you think?

@RealSlimTim Ah. I misunderstood your original problem in the tweet. I read it as your shipment was created. We do have shipment creation functionality as well, but if its an ASIN issue, I doubt Amazon will let you do it via the API ...

@MrMikhail It's an ASIN level error message and we're unable to generate a shipment. I don't think connecting a 3p API software is going to help.

My company is on day 9 of not being able to send inventory to FBA bc Amazon system error messages are preventing label generation. Hours wasted chatting with support who still can't fix it. "Low inventory fees" are about hit! These fees need to go away! We do over 10 mil a year on Amazon, yet no one to talk with other than sucky seller support.

@RealSlimTim I assume your shipments have been created already. We can import the shipment(s) in your account so you don't have to recreate anything. Then we have a few options to generate the box labels for the shipment. wizard-industries.com/demo_manual click on Walkthrough-video for one option.

I tried using 2D Workflow. Lots of videos floating around about how it helps avoid inbound placement fees. But it's NOT that easy. I'm sitting at my computer right now - 11:06PM creating an inbound shipment in 2D Workflow for the 1st time. Trying send 1,500 units to an Amazon FC near LAX. "Sweet so this tool will allow me to pick and FC and ship everything there." Nope. Here's how it works. It suggests SPLIT shipments. Then you click 'optimize' for the FC you want to send units to. Then it creates a range 'optimized shipments'. BUT these 'optimized shipments' are often SPLIT shipments. Yes, sometimes you get lucky and get 1 FC. But I've redone this shipment 4 times and haven't gotten an option to ship to 1 FC near LAX. The closest match... send my 87% of my units to Dallas, Texas - FROM LAX!! - that's 1,419 miles away and a mad trucking bill. I think it'll be cheaper to send units through AWD. Am I doing something wrong? @watchmeamazon can you help me understand how to use this tool to get 1 FC in the west coast? Not sure it'll be worth the cost savings to split my shipment into 1000+ mile trucking journeys

@reuqnok @jetskiifba @614prep @watchmeamazon Yeah - otherwise 2D looks compliant. Completely blows out the benefit that you were pushing though. You can use any other tool at that point, like InventoryLab (which we own), sellercloud, etc

@yodayee @guyfosel 15+ years ago, Amazon sold a banner slot on the SellerCentral login page. It was relatively cheap too. Everything old is new again.

Amazon FBA returns reporting has very bland list of reasons for returns: UNWANTED_ITEM, ORDERED_WRONG_ITEM, NOT_AS_DESCRIBED, etc. But someone there has a sense of humor because there is also a "SWITCHEROO" return reason.

@JHartFlips They are depreciating the MWS api end of March and the new api doesn’t allow for the same functionality so in all likelihood the loophole is closed end of Month.

What happens when Amazon changes their API to prevent programs such as 2D workflow to close the inventory placement fee loophole? Serious question, not hating.
