@Matthew56193629 Common misunderstanding. Mitochondrial Eve and Y-chromosomal Adam were not the first humans, not a lone couple, and they didn’t even live at the same time. Population genetics still shows humanity never bottlenecked to just two people.

@Marsvin5 Vänstern är crap, men högern är fan inte bättre. Ensamstående föräldrar får det knappas bättre under högerstyre om dom inte är högavlönade redan. Skulle du råka ha blivit arbetslös under deras tid är du fett körd. Inga jobb skapas, förhållandena blir sämre.

@Seth_Mayes @oliverburdick We do have a low diversity because of a few bottlenecks (not 8 humans) but also because our species is extremely young. Only around 300.000 years. Compare that to some species that have been around for millions and millions of years.

@Seth_Mayes @oliverburdick When it comes to genetics I don't guess. I have studied it as part of my education. Granted, I'm not a geneticist but i do know the basics. Humans would not survive a genetic bottleneck like that.
