@KabutoKing_ like everything there are cycles, 1999 there was a big cycle everyone jumped on it, 2016 there was another with Pokemon go etc
Now again people see people making money and want In, this will come back and chill and then pump for the 40th anniversary is collecting need patience.

Maybe you guys are right. Maybe the hobby has peaked. Take a look around. Everyone hating for clicks. Ragebaiting. Etc.
Go to card shows. Everyone on their phones the entire time. It’s all about who can get that 1 extra percent. Everyone stacking sealed product, fighting each other at Target, scalping cards just to sell them for a quick buck.
Grading is an absolute mess. The companies are slammed with ATH demand, customers upset at wait times and inconsistencies, and people don’t trust “the system”.
For those who are 28-40 years old (most of us), what would our past-self think of the hobby now? Back then it was all about the cards, the collection, and trading.
Nobody seems happy anymore.
I can see this turning off a lot of people who have been in the hobby for a while, and I have already seen many such people say this.
