There are 32 Conservative Members of Parliament (MPs), 22 Liberals, 20 Bloc Quebecois and six New Democrats who were elected in the 2019 election and are still sitting, but haven't been in power long enough to qualify for a life-time pension. To qualify for their pension, which comes after six years of service, they need to be MPs until October 21, 2025, which is one day after the currently scheduled election. Canada has fixed election dates. Anyone of those MPs who doesn't get re-elected, won't qualify for a Golden Egg. MP pensions are 30x better than anything you and I could ever expect. Trudeau screwed this up in 2021, when he called a snap election mid-way through his term. Now, Trudeau wants to delay the next election by 1 week, so that all these MPs can secure their pensions. This is an egregious example of self-service, and a slap in the face to every-day Canadians. The only people who will benefit from this "law" are 80 extremely well compensated fat cats, and no one else.

I'm a landlord. At one time I thought I would build a portfolio of rentals. I absolutely cannot stand it and can't wait to sell and never do it again. No liquidity, high fees, and lots of headaches. Some people are cut out for it. I am absolutely not.
