Tbh, I wouldn't count Israel as a top six American ally. I would rank the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Poland, Ukraine, and Germany as better allies than Israel. Even for the Middle East, Jordan is a better ally.

@BlueCheese608 Rodriguez has a mix of policy between being a social democrat (Nordic model) and a social liberal, without the added negativity of DSA or “Democratic socialism”. Barnes is too “corporate” liberal to get the progressive votes. So I don’t think he can get out of the primary.

Most people I know in Madison are somewhat to the left of me. They are EXTREMELY tuned in to electability in the governor’s race. Hong is going to fizzle out this summer, almost guaranteed. That’s an unmitigated good thing for progressive change.

Idk about you guys, but I don’t think the 90 billion euros to Ukraine should be loans. It should be financial aid that the country shouldn’t have to pay back after this war. If the European governments are so genuine that Ukraine is fighting a war for Europe, then indebting the country doesn’t make any strategic sense in the regard Ukraine will struggle to recover financially after the war, especially with massive loans.
