Recently, Farid Ouedraogo (@dapp_central ) reached out to Nick and myself with a specific request: He needed a $10,000 loan. His story? He had lost his job and with the crypto market not going his way, he was in a tight spot. Because we’ve worked in the same circles for years, it’s the kind of story that pulls at your empathy. But we started digging and the "unfortunate situation" quickly looked like a calculated pattern. The Reality of the "Dapp Central" Situation:, 👉The Script: Farid has been using the same "lost job/market pain" story to systematically borrow money from at least 15 different people. 👉The Total: Conservative estimates from the group suggest he has taken over $250,000 (approx. 200k+ ADA) in private loans. 👉The Ghosting: Despite committing to a repayment plan on March 27th, he has gone completely dark. He isn’t responding to private DMs, even from those he once worked with daily. 👉The Rewards: Ironically, his DAPP stake pools are still active and producing rewards (roughly 800+ ADA per epoch).
