@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow There are courses that schools in Scotland can offer to help young people such the ‘Personal Finance’ award but not all schools offer it. Anything I learned has been from my parents and through investigation. I left school not understanding finance other than savings.

@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow I think you also need to consider the longevity of the gift. A PlayStation for example can have multiple games bought for it in the future. Whereas a simple gift for a toddler can be outgrown. Spend different amounts but being willing to spend more later when toddlers outgrow it
