@Empty_America I saw the opposite. Deep, deep despair during the Biden days. I remember the "winter of severe illness and death" quote and even my Democrat grandmother was very uneasy (never seen her like that) about Biden & told me that it felt like "no one was running the country. Weird times

It's very clear that many posters were effectively happier when Biden was President. There was a clear enemy, the glorious revolution was assumed to be on the horizon, etc. The serious personal despair and directionless anger was much less prominent.

Best personal life advice ever for dealing with non-confrontational people who always take the path of least resistance (95% of humanity): Simply do and say whatever you want. Call people the worst names imaginable, shout the big family secret, share offensive memes on the family GC, walk out of dinner, scream and throw things, then just act like nothing occurred. You will be shocked at how they just reset back to normal instantly right along with you, without any hesitation. It took me forever to figure this out. It was like discovering gravity.

Interesting theory on why high mountains tend to attract liberals. The topography leads to collective management, which leads to public access, which leads to ability to roam, appealing to high openness people. Whereas temperamental conservatives often loath public land, they desire the familiarity and enclosure of gated/fenced parcels of private land, have no desire to roam.

@WealthChakraa No I knew my mom and she was not intelligent or introspective in person either. I say this with a lot of love and compassion for her but it's just straight up true. She had a lot of other good qualities.

I loved my mom but she was kinda dumb. Going through her stuff after she died, I never found anything reflective in her writing. It was all very factual and simple. The notes from her mom though, man. Brilliant tortured poet. Introspective metaphors, poems, in multiple languages.

@Empty_America Seems like a full head of hair is a big flex at any age these days. I'm 34 and have all of my hair and most of the dudes around me my age are bald/thinned out.

I feel as if keeping your hair is a big flex in your 30s. Then it sort of becomes disappointing in your 40s as it grays out, unless you kept it carefully dyed all along. But the full head of silver hair is a mega flex again in the 50s and 60s+.

I have seen in my lifetime, with my own eyes, the states of CO, HI, NM, AZ, and soon to be UT fall to liberalism. Complete wastelands compared to how they were just 10 years ago. I believe as a country we are in multisystem organ failure, propped up only by the remaining tiny minority of people that actually do anything. Move somewhere with water that grows its own food, or die. I believe it will be that simple in the coming years.
