@DavidWebbTweet @Geordie_grandad @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid And I’m going to take lectures from a guy who posts easily verifiable false claims and another who think certain types of money that you gain aren’t income because it suits his personal bias 😂 And you clowns want to talk ignorance. Irony really did die in 2025.

@Geordie_grandad @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid Any reasonable person would I think agree that £1 you didn’t have in the till but now do is income. But you can’t even accept that basic premise, either because you are incapable of conceding a point or are being contrarian for the sake of it.

@JoJetson04 @JustStop_Oil If you had any point actually worth taking seriously can you do it without such insipid blanket terms like ‘lefties’? 🙄

@JustStop_Oil Lefties look to divide and destroy with fake love which is actually control. If you were not wired that way you would have come up with the flag idea yourselves.

So you're saying if we'd sprayed stuff white and then put a red cross on it the media would have supported us? You live and learn I guess.

@LadyGaza12 @EseTomFindlay @MarinaPurkiss @Rylan There are around 40k towns or bigger in the uk. So about 1 asylum seeker per year per town give or take. And you are crying about it? Grow up. No asylum seller shut down a school or underfunded the courts or gave their rich mates dodgy contracts worth millions.

@Mr_Ash_2018 @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid I thought I already told you explicitly. The shop does not just have costs, they have already bought the item you are buying. If it is a perishable item, they have risk too, as it may not sell and be thrown away, so that is a loss, but we won't get into that it may confuse you.

@Geordie_grandad @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid I will eventually be paying inheritance tax. I have parents 🙄. Quite wealthy parents actually. And as stated previously, I’m not saying I like it or the rate but I can understand that it’s money i otherwise wouldn’t have. That is, like it or not income.

@Mr_Ash_2018 @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid As for inheritance. Yes of course you accept that, you are not the one paying the tax, it is easy to imagine. But if you were actually having to pay 40% of an inheritance you got, that has already been taxed several times, you may, though would never admit it, feel cheated.

@Geordie_grandad @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid So again, the shop has costs. Yes we know that. And? What does that have to do with the fact that the shop has an income of £1 they previously didn’t have? Do they have a £1 they didn’t have? Yes. That is income. Tell me explicitly that is not income if that’s what you believe

@Mr_Ash_2018 @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid Nope, the implication was not there. There was an explanation, as you assume the shop now has £1 that it never did. It is not what just happens after that, which you find "immaterial", it is also what happened before that. Do you imagine the item you paid £1 just appeared?

@Geordie_grandad @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid Oh just stop that shit. The implication was certainly there. The shop has my £1. They have £1 in their till they didn’t have before. What happens after that is immaterial. That is income. Going back to inheritance, I’m not saying I like it. But it’s income. I can accept that.

@Mr_Ash_2018 @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid You do like a strawman argument I see. I never said businesses should not pay taxes because of costs. I was explaining to you that the shop is not getting your £1 but about 10 - 15% of it, which is then taxed as income. I hope this explains it clearly enough.

@Geordie_grandad @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid So businesses shouldn’t pay taxes on a £1 because they have costs? We all have costs/bills etc. Gods, you lot are never happy. Socialism is bad & now you are moaning about capitalist economics 🙄. Your economic model seems to boil down to ‘I don’t want to pay for anything’

@Mr_Ash_2018 @DavidWebbTweet @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid 2/2 Say it cost him 60p to buy it from the supplier, who is taxed, then transport, which is taxed via fuel, then overheads for the shop, electricity, staff, rent etc. The shop has probably made 10p in income, which is then taxed as income. So stick to what I actually say.

@DavidWebbTweet @Geordie_grandad @Robin5Mc @RussInCheshire @SStarmeroid I’m in my 40s. And I’m going to take no lectures on economics from someone who doesn’t have anything better than calling ppl communists or lazy. Tip for you: cut that shit out. It cheapens any point you might have (not many) & makes you seem like an idiot.
