My in-laws are both retired teachers in Brandon. Naturally it was a family affair as we stood up against book bans. Community showed up, and after many hours of presentations I hope queer students, educators and their families know they are loved and celebrated 🏳️‍🌈

So proud to have the Black History Month Act pass into Law last night. Manitoba now officially recognizes February as Black History Month! Also thrilled to see Rhonda and Nadia Thompson received the Platinum Jubilee Medal for their fantastic work in the community.
