Mark is my cofounder. I’m scheduled to be at the a16z creator summit later this year. Maybe I should reconsider? Mark is rightfully concerned about the revenge p*rn use case of ai generated media. If you scroll through the Grok account’s media tab, you can see what he’s concerned about in alarming detail and volume. Mark and I disagree about the number of potential positive use cases for generative AI media. As all good cofounders do, we have come to a compromise that is the best for our users. I hoped you would understand this as a highly visible partner at a16z. We’re the underdog, fighting to compete with the big labs. We also care deeply about the societal and individual harms possible with generative models. We will continue to work to provide experiences we consider safe while also making best in class product. For similar reasons, we deprecated gpt-4o yesterday. My CTO spoke out about something he was rightfully uncomfortable about. I’m disappointed that you would dunk on any founder like this. I’m sad it might prevent other founders from doing the same. Conviction is a necessary trait of good founders. I’m lucky to have Mark as my cofounder. Rethink this one, Justine.

🚨Attention Liquid Marketplace Users 🚨 As you may know, the PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator was previously listed on Liquid Marketplace, where users could purchase tokens that, according to the company, represented fractional ownership interests in the card.   In May 2024, consistent with the platform's terms, I repurchased the card. I paid a substantial buyout amount to the platform, which was intended to be distributed to fractional owners based on their respective percentages. I was informed at the time that the funds had been distributed accordingly.   Unfortunately, afterward, the company and some of its principals faced regulatory scrutiny — a process in which I have had no involvement or insight, as it does not relate to me.   I recently learned that the platform also experienced operational issues, which affected user access to accounts and funds held on the platform. As a result, many Liquid Marketplace users have been unable to access their buyout proceeds or wallet balances, with no clear timeline for resolution.   For those affected and unable to withdraw your funds: Please know that I am actively working with Liquid Marketplace to help ensure these funds can be released in the near future, just as intended when I repurchased the Illustrator in May 2024.
