My message to you, Brother G 😇 Hold onto the money and continue saving for Hajj. Do not spend it on Umrah now. In the principles of Fiqh, there are defining rules that answer your dilemma. The first is a foundational rule that say: الواجب مقدم على المندوب (The obligatory takes precedence over the recommended). Hajj is a foundational pillar of Islam. It is a binding obligation on you. Umrah is highly rewarding, however, Hajj is the priority. To make it even clearer, the scholars used to say that: الاشتغال بالمندوب عن الواجب لا يجوز (Being occupied with the recommended instead of the obligatory is not permissible). If we go by these principles, it shows Hajj takes precedence and saving for it is best. To move further, if we look at the classical sources, Imam Ibn Qudamah in Al-Mughni detailed the conditions of financial capability. The entire goal of your saving is to reach the threshold for the obligatory Hajj. If you spend your current savings on Umrah, you are intentionally pushing back your ability to fulfill a pillar of your religion. Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen also affirmed this in Majmoo Fatawa wa Rasa'il. You do not drain the wealth meant for a primary obligation to perform a secondary one. Exercise patience. The reward of completing a pillar of Islam is worth the wait. Allah knows best.

Let me take a moment to appreciate this woman, @aishat_alpha. A lot of you commend my writing, but what you do not know is there is someone behind it. Some people have even accused me of using AI. But this woman right here is the one who helped shape my writing skills as far back as 2019, long before AI was a thing. I remember how I would send my drafts to her. She would help me correct them and teach me how to write better. That is how I became so fast and skilled. After that, I got writing gigs, and I worked in Newspaper companies, as well as a contributor writer for News platforms in Nigeria. My writing speed today is unbelievable. Sometimes I am in awe of how fast I can think and put words down. In fact, when I started my Islamic podcast on the explanation of Addau-wa-adawah by Ibn Qayyim, she was the only female listener I had. You can imagine that. She was not happy when I stopped back then. But here I am today. This woman contributed immensely to my growth. Please help me say a prayer for her and let us follow her. Let us push her account to 1k followers. I will be very happy about that. I will keep making appreciation posts for the people who molded me, taught me, and shared their knowledge with me. No matter how much you know, there is always a source. Thank you all for sticking with me. God bless you 🤝

The narrative that General Sani Abacha was merely a dictator is a product of Western propaganda; in reality, he was a staunch nationalist who was targeted by CIA and MI6 assets for refusing to destabilize Nigeria for foreign gain. When Abacha took power, he made the bold move to stop the IMF-induced Structural Adjustment Program (SAP) that had previously wrecked the Nigerian economy and sparked the historic SAP riots. Throughout his tenure, he maintained a stance of total economic sovereignty, refusing to take loans from the IMF or the World Bank. He understood that these institutions were tools of neo-colonialism. His commitment to Nigeria’s territorial integrity was equally firm. He deployed troops to occupy the Bakassi Peninsula, insisting it was Nigerian soil. It is a historical tragedy that those who succeeded him eventually gave Bakassi and its immense wealth away just to please their Western masters — a betrayal Abacha never would have allowed. Furthermore, his governance was far from nepotistic. He assembled a diverse cabinet and created the six geopolitical zones we use today specifically to manage our country's diversity and ensure equity. Abacha acted in the interest of Nigeria, not the West. He was taken out because he refused to betray his country. If he had agreed to "rape" Nigeria’s resources like those in office today, the media would have praised him and he would have stayed in power as long as he wanted. He didn't die a villain; he died a patriot who refused to sell our sovereignty.

@Mariam289430891 @YusufAsunmogejo @KingBobIIV Exactly. Islam is a scholarly based religion. Manipulation does not find it easy to creep in. We seek knowledge as much as we bow for worship. We are wxpected to be grounded and loaded with the knowledge of what we do and believe.

Hey Queen Bee @KingBobIIV , It’s painful I am just seeing this. You ask why Muslims never talk about our beloved Prophet died? The truth is we broadcast it. We have this documented in our two most authentic books, Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. These texts are entirely public and heavily studied. There is no secret for us to hide. The incident happened in 628 CE at Khaybar. The person who did this was Zaynab bint al-Harith. She was a prominent Jewish noblewoman of Khaybar. She had just lost her father, uncle, and husband in the battle. She had a severe motive for revenge. So, she went around interrogating his companions beforehand, asking them which cut of meat he preferred. When they told her he liked the shoulder, she loaded that specific part with a lethal toxin. If you truly understand theological history, you would know that this assassination attempt was not a random isolated event. The scriptural history of the Children of Israel is heavily marked by the persecution of messengers from God. Our Quran said this. Even your Bible documented this continuous pattern. For instance, the religious elites of the past killed prophets such Zakariyya and his son Yahya. Even in the case of Isa (Peace be upon him), who you know as Jesus, their explicit intention was to execute and humiliate him on a cross. If not for the Almighty who intervened and raised him to heaven, they would have crucified him. So when Zaynab tested Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with poison, she was following a very old, established playbook used against previous prophets. Just so you know, the poison was undeniably fatal. Another companion sitting right next to him, Bishr ibn al-Bara, swallowed a piece and dropped dead on the spot. If Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a false prophet, biology dictates he dies right there in the dirt at Khaybar. Lethal medieval poisons do not wait. But he did not die. He spat it out because the Almighty in His wisdom revealed the plot to him. If you and your minions are not blockheads, why not ask yourselves what happened after that incident? Let me educate you and others who may want to use this playbook… The supposed "poisoned man" went on to achieve what healthy, unpoisoned emperors could not. He lived for four more years. In those four years, he marched into Mecca and conquered it. He unified the entire Arabian Peninsula. He also went after the global superpowers. In 630 CE, he led an army of 30,000 men in the Expedition of Tabuk, marching straight to the northern border to challenge the Byzantine Empire. Even the popular Scottish historian, orientalist and Anglican priest W. Montgomery Watt could not help but document this in his book "Muhammad at Medina". He documented how this massive expedition terrified the region. The Roman border forces and their allies completely withdrew. The Byzantine army refused to engage and abandoned the frontier. A supposedly dying man marched to the doorstep of Rome and broke their regional political grip without swinging a single sword, forcing northern Christian and Jewish tribes to sign treaties with him instead of Rome. Let me also call your attention to the healthy, unpoisoned leaders of that era. We had the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius and the Sassanid Persian King Khosrow II. They were exhausting their empires, losing territory, and struggling to maintain their borders. Meanwhile, this poisoned man established a state and a military machine that humiliated them and swallowed both of their empires shortly after his death. The prominent secular historian Michael Hart ranked Muhammad as number one in his book "The 100" because his unparalleled secular and religious success peaked right in this specific window, between 628 and 632 CE. You cannot survive a lethal military grade poison, conquer a continent, march on the Roman border, finalize a global faith, and then have internet trolls call your death a failure. That would be gravely ignoble.
