🚨Please check out our recent publication in @SurgEndosc on safety and feasibility of same day discharge after POEM in achlasia ✅ Similar results for 30 days readmission rate and ED visits between same day discharge and over night admitted patients 👉Pooled rates for post procedural pain 16.8% and out of that 28% were admitted for pain managment. Optimized outpatient pain managment strategies can be used to discharge patients on same day. ‼️Post operative imaging can be individualized in high risk patients instead of routine for all patients.
