West Africans need to stop forcing our history into Abrahamic or Middle Eastern narratives. It’s historically inaccurate, and honestly, it reflects a deep cultural insecurity. You Ijebu people are not Jews. Queen Sheba did not visit Ijebuland. Hausas are not Arabs from Baghdad. Igbos are not Israelites. We need to stop romanticizing foreign origins as if our civilizations only become meaningful when linked to the Middle East. West Africa already has a rich, ancient, and sophisticated history of its own, you have the Nok, Ile-Ife, Benin, Oyo, Gao, Mali, Kanem-Bornu, Igbo-Ukwu, and countless others. Many of our ancestors had lived and developed cultures in these lands for tens of thousands of years before Judaism, Christianity, or Islam even emerged. There is nothing inferior about being indigenous to Africa. We do not need borrowed identities to validate our existence, intelligence, spirituality, or achievements. Our history stands on its own. Stop it!

I can never understand putting Curry clearly over Durant. For example, Nick has Steph as solid top 10, but Durant is "maybe top 20." To me, Steph and KD are so similar in results and proficiency stats. It's essentially a tie, imo. The only thing separating them as INDIVIDUAL players is that Durant has more quality longevity and more total stats (at a a younger age) and is 7 inches taller. So the "argument" must come down to RINGZ!! (but not FMVPs, apparently). But the RINGZ!! argument is never applied for all players. It's very selective isn't it?
