Palworld is fun It's funny how Pokemon is actually the thing it rips off of the least; it actually copies more from BotW (UI and sound design), Elden Ring (for setpieces and world encounters), and ARK (for progression and crafting, minus the annoying parts).

Personal hot take that will likely have me crucified by some people but fuck it: I look at what Palworld is doing and feel like they went from trying to be a genuine "fanmade Pokemon-esque game" to "cynical, blatant cash-grab furbait". And I say this as a furry myself.
