Be very careful with the idea that, all women are replaceable. There are women you don't meet twice in your entire life!! Example, My Wife @MrsAquila 💙

DO NOT POST INSULTS ON MY PAGE. OTHERWISE, I WILL BLOCK YOU. I had to block a few people on my X page for trading insults at me because I posted a photo of myself and @femigbaja whom I met at the airport in London for the first time. I was surprised that some people found that offensive. Hang on, it is my page and I am free to relate to everyone on the face of the earth. First, as a lawyer, I can act for anyone. As a pastor, it is even more as I have to win souls from all over the world. I have acted as a lawyer for people from over 50 countries in the UK and I have pastored several nationalities in the United Kingdom over the years. I am too mature and learned to discriminate against anyone. You may be supporting a particular political party but I am not limited to any political party as I am a father and friend to all. In the UK, I have friends and MPs from all the parties as my friends. The same thing applies to my country of birth Nigeria. I have raised three adult children who are all lawyers like me but they have never insulted anyone. If they raised you well, you will never go to anyone’s page to insult them. You have to learn a better way to communicate or get a bit of education. In the UK, for over 22 years, you cannot see me without paying a fee. If I am giving my wisdom here for free, you owe me a duty to show a bit of respect. If I block you, it will be your loss. I did not even know you existed. If you think you don’t need me, walk on. To want to control who I relate to is narcissistic, to say the least. Behave yourself from today. Dele Olawanle is my name. I think, write and speak to make lives better.

P.s This is also for me. I haven't been able to write anything for weeks and it got harder to try. I literally wrote this because I had to accept that it won't be perfect but I didn't want my fear to stop me. Praying this helps someone!

When my daughter was 18 months old, she figured out how to get out of her crib. Everytime we put her in it, she found her way out. She'll turn up at our room grinning with pride because she "escaped". It was frustrating but we got used to it. Everything was okay until one day...

I heard a Commissioner nominee in Lagos State, during screening today, was asked by a House of Assembly member who he will first answer between the Governor and the House Assembly if he got a call to appear before either at the same time. While I consider the question a bit mischievous, if I ever found myself in such situation, I will first answer the Governor. A commissioner is, first and foremost, an appointee of the Governor not that of House of Assembly.

Exciting news! 🎉 I am incredibly honoured to share that His Excellency, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, the President of the Nigerian Senate, has appointed me as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions for the 10th Senate. This appointment is a privilege and testament to my dedication in serving the great people of Lagos East Senatorial District. I have previously served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries in the 9th National Assembly, which allowed me to contribute significantly to the growth and development of various sectors. I look forward to working alongside my distinguished colleagues in the Senate Committee to make impactful changes that will benefit the nation. Thank you all for your unwavering support. #DoingGood

Why am I telling you this story? Because the biggest error of our time is that we are not living in the decade we are IN. We have attempt to TEACH our children in the first seven years instead of playing with them, to PLAY with them in the years we are expected to advise them.

And now, as I approach the next phase, I am seeking answers too. Just like you, I want pointers as to how best to live the years between 49 and 56, and I am hoping that this event, this conversation leads me to answers.

In the past 7 years, this has been my calling, to take responsibility for whatever is failing around me and to DO SOMETHING about it. To organize people, to aggregate resources, to advocate for change.

Just like our forefathers who took an axe and headed into the bush to start a community, we must take the lead in the 7 years between 42 and 49.

And then you get to 42, you are now RESPONSIBLE, where you stop being the victim and become the catalyst, the generation that is capable of driving change and therefore responsible for doing so.

You are old enough to avoid stupid mistakes and young enough to fall and get up again. You must make your move. Start a business, change jobs, join politics.. this is the sweet spot for dreamers.

Between 35 and 42, you must become the DREAMER. This is the phase when you have known love from play, knowledge from being taught, wisdom from being advised, grit from making sacrifices and goodwill from helping people. It is now your time to dream, and I dare you to dream BIG.

Whether you do, for as long as you are programmed to help people get things done, you will excel, you will be propelled. And by the time you turn 35, you should be ready for the next and most exciting phase of your life.

In this phase, you must exercise disciple so that you can build for takeoff, & you must also exercise your body & your mind. This is where winners are separated from the once was. You must resist the urge to start living large, to party till dawn, to spend more than you earn.

What NEXT? I think of the 7 years, between the age of 21 & 28, as the age of SACRIFICE. These are the years when you must wake up early every single day, when you must do the difficult work but will not be paid enough, when you will build your business but live on lowly wages.
