The grass came from the same field it always comes from. The field cannot grow crops. The silage cannot go to Ethiopia. Silage requires a rumen. 2:00pm - Gerald ate more grass. Gerald has now been eating things that cannot feed humans for eight consecutive hours. At no point today did Gerald intercept a food supply. At no point today did Gerald remove calories from the human food system. At every point today, Gerald was converting materials that are nutritionally useless to humans into beef, B12, zinc, iron, creatine, heme iron, and fat-soluble vitamins. The beef will go to the abattoir. The beef will go to the supermarket. The beef will go to families in Ledbury and Bristol and Wolverhampton. Gerald is the only system that connects these waste materials to human nutrition. Gerald does not know about Ethiopia. Gerald does not know about the global food system. What is happening to this bloody country!!! My daughter has been informed by school that her TWELVE year old daughter (my granddaughter) has been found on a 'stab list'. So the son of recent African immigrants, who has only been here maybe a year and has been caught at least twice with a knife at school, has now created a list of girls he intends to stab for shunning his advances. He is STILL in school. This madness has to end. Either the establishment are on the side of good people or good people will take things into their own hands. Having witnessed wind farms being built and checked research papers on energy usage, I'm inclined to say the research is overly generous to wind. Look at HGV usage, it's absolutely bonkers. Stats came from the energy developer btw.

@stuartpowell Straighforward lie. They generate enough to cover their building and decomissioning costs within 3-6 months of their life, and thus generate at least 20x more energy that over their lifetimes.

The wind turbine uses more energy in its construction that it gives back in the whole of its working life. You are being conned - there is nothing green about wind turbines.

@stuartpowell Wind turbine deep reinforced concrete bases are never removed (except the top 1m), even if the wind farm is decommissioned. If a wind farm is re-powered (new larger turbines installed), they can't reuse the old bases, they have to put in new ones in new positions. Unsustainable.

@MattHarperUK @SamaHoole Silage cutting, drying and collection is a massive operation using up huge quantities of diesel and different machinery. It involves a tractor doing one cut, a tedder going around, sometimes twice, turning the hay, then the baling up, then moving the bales and storing them.
