If your school is advertising for a teacher of post, is it normal for HR to pass the applications straight to your Head for shortlisting without consulting you as the Head of Department?

A bittersweet feeling finishing work for maternity leave. Going to miss students and staff but excited for the next chapter, and to finally have some time to relax! I swear these terms are getting harder and harder!

Maternity leave starts now!🤰🏼🤯 I am very proud of myself for getting to 37w whilst teaching two practical subjects I’m a huge mix of emotions right now, I can’t wait to start this journey but grateful to have a job & colleagues that I’ll miss ❤️
