Thank you to everyone for your comments!! Very happy to share: dropbox.com/scl/fi/46p7z3h… This was just a starting point- I think its important for subject leads to edit/adapt/improve to suit their subjects- but gives people something to work with!

@Mr_AlmondED I agree- it’s banded around without thought about what it actually means in the context of the school.

I think we need a serious conversation on what the phrase ‘broad and balanced’ in the context of a curriculum actually means.

Really love this as a tool to get students thinking harder about their analysis. Could be used effectively to break down a worked example as part of modelling before students attempt their own too!!

"Feedback should make the student work harder than the teacher" - @dylanwiliam really struck a chord in our CPD on Monday. My resource allowed students to reflect on their answer by tearing apart their chosen quotation with specific intentions and the rewrites were phenomenal. 👏

Trialling a 'How has my feedback helped you?' - no idea what kind of explanations I'll get, but I'll see tomorrow! Marking/feedback should see the student working harder than the teacher so it's a bit of intrinsic motivation, gratitude and metacognition... #litdrive #teamenglish

I have started my this absolute labour of love... a student-friendly version of 'A Christmas Carol' with annotation space, pauses at key quotations, narrative split into sections, motif moments pinpointed... wish me luck! @Team_English1

I have created a document to support our subject leaders with #disciplinaryliteracy across a range of subjects as a starting point for editing and developing into their own curriculums. Created with the help of AI to really drill down into key aspects of #literacy #edutwitter
