We have been learning about Victorian artist, designer and architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Today we created these fabulous roses, based on his art.

We have been learning about The Victorian Era and we created this timeline of the main events.

We learned about Brazilian pop artists, Romero Britto’s, use of pattern and colour and created these fantastic hearts for Valentine’s Day. 🫶🏼💌

We drew Chinese dragons for the lunar new year

Last week we explored tiling patterns with 2D shapes

For Lunar New Year, we read the traditional story of The White Snake Lady and then summarised it in comic strips.

Today we were exploring how we could draw 2D shapes formed from other 2D shapes

P5/4 will be watching a Christmas movie tomorrow. Children can bring comfy clothes/PJs and a soft toy or cushion/blanket, if they wish.

Thank you to all who attended the Christmas Concert with P5 & P5/4 today. We raised a fantastic £113.62. Many thanks for your generous donations. We will ensure the money gets to Falkirk Homeless Project.

Just a reminder: pupils of P5/4 & P5 invite up to 2 adults each to attend our Christmas songs and a Christmas pie event on Monday 16th at 11am. The children are raising money for Falkirk Homeless Project. We suggested £1 per adult, but please just give what you can. @MrsRaeHPS
