When I turned 40 I went for a mammogram provided by @actioncancer as I don’t fall into the routine screening yet. This service is free (although a donation is welcomed ☺️) and open to everyone 40-49 and over 70! Tell everyone about this & encourage your loved ones to get checked.

We are so appreciative of our activists, they really are the backbone of the RCM 💜 supporting colleagues and advocating for midwifery. Together, RCM activists and members are the largest and strongest maternity organisation in the world

Healthcare workers in Northern Ireland may take industrial action over pay parity, unions have warned. The news comes after the Health Minister said he may not be able to match pay deals being given to healthcare staff in other parts of the UK.

Huge thanks to all the NHS staff who are doing their best to keep the health service going despite having far fewer staff than we need. We see what you do, and couldn’t be more grateful 💙

Prompted by a listener today with the lovely surname Rainbow - Do you have an unusual name that always provokes comment or questions? Maybe you hated your name growing up but love it now or gained/lost a name through marriage. Surnames, First names - all welcome!

For children who have speech or communication needs such as stammers, school can be a challenge. But now new lessons have been developed by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists in NI to try and support these pupils. And they've received some high-profile backing.
