So, I’m officially trying to put aside everything and be a peacemaker, especially on here. Pray for me, I’m really out of practice.

Oh man the memories... I still remember what it felt like when my kids would stretch out after waking up while in utero. The one time I had an XXL mtn dew while pregnant with my oldest. Severe kicks are a good description for that moment. My son was the jump and spin baby, and my daughter was the quiet curl up by my left side ribs baby. I can still remember what her tiny foot felt like in that lowest left rib.

Sometimes I get a bit depressed around voting. The local guys and the national guys. I am just late to the "party" and everyone is telling me about the awesome time earlier with real caviar and champagne chicken. Meanwhile I'm standing there looking over at a spread of cheezwhiz on store brand Ritz, and flat Shasta cola, wondering what happened.
Just Ella@MrsElleClark9

@Twinpeakssky @Manhattva I'm not sure if I've had the chance of voting for a good-ish one other than Trump. It was always a vote to destroy the country vs destroy the country, but slower. Maybe I'm just late to the party at 35 and the good options were earlier.

@AndrewBragg5555 @Manhattva I was required to for my daughter the preemie's feeding schedule. Every two hours, at least 1 oz, high calorie mix, on the dot or go back to the NICU. My son I did once because he freaked me out the first time he slept more than 2 hours in one stretch.

Would you like to seize cartel assets as a privateer? My bill would allow the president to issue you a letter of marque. Time to take these pirates down. 🏴‍☠️
Bradley Jaye@bradleyajaye

EXCLUSIVE: @SenMikeLee introduced the Cartel Marque and Reprisal Reauthorization Act. The bill authorizes Trump to commission American operators under letters of marque to seize cartel property and persons on land or sea outside the U.S. @timburchett intro’d House version.

It's odd how many people missed that your point was that kids don't keep you from traveling. They don't stop you, and the costs people are told about are really exaggerated. I've seen people who use it as a reason not to get married too. I'm poor, and have been my whole life. The equivalent homeschooling trip for my family was a weekend exploring Cove Fort and the dead volcano behind it. The homeschool adventures are the best even if it's cheap minivan day trips where you eat PB&J in the car to avoid spending anything other than gas money. It's the kids that make it worth going.

Prime example of why intentional infertility is a massive cope… You can still do all of this with kids… In fact, one of the reasons I’m homeschooling my kids is to do JUST THIS. “Ohh we’re doing a unit on the collapse of the shogunate in feudal Japan? Let’s book a trip and tour their castles.” I’ve literally already done this too. “Ohh you really like horses right now? Cool, I’ve booked a cottage for the weekend, we’re going riding.” I’ve never come across a braggadocios childless person that I’m jealous of. Literally never. I can do all the same things, AND share it with tiny people who are more awestruck than I am. Children don’t diminish joy. They multiply it.
Matt | The Mini-Retirement Maximalist@MiniRetireMatt

Not having kids is a life hack. I spend my summers in Europe, take cross-country road trips, and disappear off-grid on weekends. The money I’d spend on kids goes to investing, experiences, and freedom. Different priorities. Different definition of rich.

Of course we can go through the kids' phones. It's a basic part of keeping them safe. We have our kids phones so locked down I don't even think they have a browser, and every app download needs approval from me or my husband. I have seen quite a few of their texts. Their phones are also little GPS trackers for us.

I talked to him this morning. He didn't faint after the uterus thing either. He just felt like he might. He just felt woozy, but then told himself internally that it wasn't time to faint, it was time to meet his son. So he just turned off the squeamish for our son who needed him. He's so strong for our kids from the moment they showed them to him on the ultrasound, and it's so much more once he sees them right there in front of him.

I understand the sentiment and will admit that for my first birth when I envisioned I didn't want my husband to see anything that would change his view of me. I never would have considered giving birth without him, but I was planning to keep him at the head of the bed. Then I had an unplanned C-section and found out that my squeamish husband could tolerate me having surgery in front of him. He watched the mirror on the ceiling and everything, and was fine till they externalized my uterus to finish stitching while he was on the other side of the drape meeting our son. It was similar with our daughter, except hubby was more fine because that doctor didn't externalize any internal organs in front of him. Men are stronger around birth than modern society gives them credit for.

I think it’s normal to want to “keep your secrets” as a first time mom. Especially with all the stories we hear and clips of men fainting in the delivery room. HOWEVER, I’ve never met a good man who doesn’t respect and love his wife MORE after birth. My husband has been my “birthing partner” 4 times now. He wants to be involved. He prays over me, holds me, and comforts me from beginning to end. The absolute best part of giving birth for me is watching him cry once the baby is finally here. He’s so happy and full of love. It’s as if for those few moments, I’m not seeing his physical body, I’m watching his soul. Let him be with you. Don’t worry about the rest.
Andrea D. Huberwoman, Ph.D.@thegenesisbl0ck

Girl to girl, did you allow your man to be with you in the labour room? I want him to be there for support, but I don’t want him to see me (if you know what I mean). Can’t go ruining the female mystique.

Police stations, fire stations, and, hospitals can all take a newborn with no questions asked. Infant safe haven laws exist. There's no excuse for this. It's not uncommon for hospitals to have a sign on the wall about how the law works. Fire stations have a sign too. Many states also have someone who can help in cases where a woman or girl is significantly far into pregnancy and hasn't told anyone. Google exists, women and even teenagers can figure out what is legally ok in their state. There's just no excuses anymore.

Women who do this should be jailed and charged with attempted murder. There are so many safe places you can abandon your baby anonymously. There’s no excuse for this.
LifeNews.com@LifeNewsHQ

Police found a newborn baby abandoned in a dumpster. Fortunately, he was still alive! "The child appeared to be fresh out of the womb, with his hair wet, his skin pruned and his umbilical cord still attached." This is what happens when abortion devalues human life.

@LanceVader @Manhattva Which Jordan River? I think they both look like that. The one in Salt Lake County is not something I'd take my chances with. I've seen the river rats.

@Manhattva I'm a plumber and I don't know why the water looks like that. It isn't fresh American tap water, that's for sure. I suspect they used river water. Depending on how crazy their sect is, it could be water from the Jordan River.

I was 9 days short of 18 on my wedding day. Still zero regrets on that even though 2008 was a very bad year. First kid at 19.5, next at 22. Student jobs, cheap ass apartments, a trailer with my mom briefly, WIC, DI, etc... No regrets, but it did suck at points. I wish getting and staying pregnant wasn't as much of a fight for me as it's been. I'll easily become a grandma by 43 though. Fingers crossed and many prayers that we'll have success this cycle, and I can find out what geriatric pregnancy (35+) is like.
