For Mile 2: @GOTRNOVA is more than just a running club. The lessons the girls learn are lessons most of us women don’t learn until our 20’s. They are learning about self talk, expressing their emotions, being themselves, healthy relationships, and more. It EMPOWERS #everygirl

Participated in the @GOTRNOVA #Virtual5K this afternoon all the way from NY (I miss being a coach!) and thought I’d share 1 reflection on this amazing program for each mile of the 5K...

For Mile 1: Coaching this team of girls was an absolute privilege and our practices were some of my best moments as an educator. These girls are already making a difference just by being their authentic selves! They are the heart of the WHY! @GOTRNOVA

Instead of expecting teachers to plan "online schooling" for the next two weeks or more can we just STOP! They have families ( siblings, spouses, children, parents) that need their attention too and to take care of themselves. ENOUGH!

Or if they could curate a collection of films and books with a similar theme or character type, what other books or movies would they add?

Question for my fellow teachers! I want my kids to be “doing something” while I show a movie. What can I have kids “do” besides a traditional movie guide? (We are reading The Glass Castle and I just bought the movie to show them). @teacher2teacher @edutopia
