Year 2 @hifieldji have been carrying out Science experiments at home this afternoon. We are testing different materials to find out if they are waterproof so that we can choose the most suitable material to make a raincoat.

I really enjoyed teaching PSHE today. We started our new values topic 'Inspiration' by asking the children what they wanted to be when they grew up. We had "chef because it looks fun when my mum cooks". I even took a picture of the work from my screen 😂😂.

2MP @hifieldji have had a wonderful Enrichement Day! They had a choice between learning British Sign language or weaving. They have developed lots of skills today that they are excited to share at home.

Year 2 @hifieldji have had an amazing day celebrating Diwali. We created poems, learnt about the story of Rama and Sita and made our own diva lamps and 3D Diwali cards #PACTShare

Totally agree. The children loved this story and really identified with the characters. They were also really impressed to learn about the author's Olympic fencing achievements!

The children in Year 2 @hifieldji have started exploring the Somalian culture by reading 'The Colour of Home'. The children who are part of this culture have loved being our 'experts' today!

2MP loved becoming magicians today for one of our enrichment activities. We learnt a variety of tricks and the children loved being recorded performing what they had learnt.
