It’s that time of year again where Higher pupils created revision advent calendars with tasks to compute during December to help prepare them for their prelims in January. @KirkintillochHS

Higher were consolidating their knowledge of Hydrosphere features today by working together to make a model from play dough of a feature & explaining its formation (without notes). Geo/Psych staff will pick a winner (I won’t vote as I’m biased 😀). @KirkintillochHS @geo_khs

Perfect day to do some outdoor learning and rivers fieldwork with both Higher Geography classes today. Was proud to take these young people out in our local area and bring the Hydrosphere topic to life. @KirkintillochHS

It’s taken a few days to relax into the holidays after a very busy term&also stop feeling so guilty about leaving my lovely dog behind (she is with my mother in law and which is good). Loving spending more time with my family on this beautiful island. #lanzarote2024

S3 Geography had fun today using their European Geography knowledge to complete an escape room.

S3 pupils have been learning about Fairtrade where they created posters. Yesterday&today we sold Fairtrade (& Cocoa Life) chocolate that aims to improve the lives of cocoa farmers&their communities. Thanks to my AH pupils who helped out with the stall. @KirkintillochHS

Super proud of 3 of our SQA ambassadors who presented at our recent Senior Phase Options evening. They informed pupils, parents and carers about the SCQF framework, curricular pathways and learner journeys here at KHS. @KirkintillochHS @SCQFPartnership

Last Friday 9 new Ambassadors from S4 volunteered to complete SCQF training. I was so impressed with their enthusiasm, ideas, commitment and I am very excited to work with them on our journey towards Silver Award. @KirkintillochHS @SCQFPartnership
