We took some time to put a fun spin on the mystery bags we’ve been doing in math. After cutting out pumpkins, each student got a mystery bag of seeds. Before gluing, Ss organized their seeds for counting. Saw some great strategies, including arrays! @Wishteaching @JessNastasi

Today, we discussed another great habit that readers have…thinking about characters! After reading my all time favorite book, The Paper Bag Princess, we jotted down our thoughts about the characters. Then, students wrote about their favorite!

Today, students learned one of our math routines: Start With/Get To. This routine helps use practice our sequence counting! @JessNastasi @Wishteaching @mrskelly405

These writers were hard at work today! We used our mentor text Green Pants to inspire us to think about and collect ideas about some things we like!

Today, students got to rotate through math manipulative stations in order to explore various different manipulatives we will use this year. At the end of our rotations, we discussed some ways we can use these tools and how we will take care of them. @Wishteaching @JessNastasi
