I remember going into my first year of teaching thinking I was going to use a bunch of cute classroom management tricks. I’m not 4 yrs in and although those tricks are helpful, I’ve learned the most important & effective classroom management strategy is RELATIONSHIPS.

I feel this on such a deep level. It’s so hard.

Being a teacher is like having 30 phones ringing, all at the same time. Unless you've done it, you'll never really understand how difficult it can be.

Teachers, students love coming to school for different reasons. Make sure you’re one of the reasons. Be compassionate, kind, caring, & understanding. Someone they know has their back and also wants the best for them.

Our Alexa now response to our 3 year old. I’ve listened to the theme song from Cailou approximately 87 times. 🙃
