Accessible play - @StopherSharks cut the ribbon on Phase 1 of their playground accessibility project, making it available for all students including those with disabilities. “It’s part of our mission at Stopher to enable ALL kids to learn and play”.

As a dad, I am so thankful for our principals, assistant principals, teachers, bus drivers and school staff for all they do to help our children succeed. It was great to visit with @JCPSKy today to thank some of these leaders and wish them luck ahead of the new school year!

Ms. George’s class took their learning celebration to the hallway. @StopherSharks wrote riddles using facts from research about birds. Today they tried to solve them. I was amazed by the rich vocabulary and specific details in their writing and drawings. #StopherThrives

Student discourse was abundant in 5th grade today. Ss determined intervals on a number line using place value patterns in math. In science class, Ss were in deep discussion of evidence to support or dispute a claim about a mystery pollutant in a sample of water. #StopherThrives
