Is it just me, or is there an unwritten rule in the school car park! Even when the car park is empty - we still go to 'our spot'

That moment when you are getting every bit of maths out of making cupcakes with your granddaughter, and catch your son rolling his eyes in the background! 🙄

Volunteered to run two KS3 extra curricular clubs this year. This week has been full on, and I was really hoping nobody would show up to today's Mathletes 😴Three gorgeous children came and have cheered me up no end 💙 🩷

@MsT31415 Go Teach maths is amazing! @goteachmaths My students love the true/false mazes, and the 'show me' tasks require a deeper understanding.

I really want to purchase a bank of resources for my department to use that are easily accessible, adaptable and follow a I do we do you do, mini whiteboards kind of flow. I feel overwhelmed with the options. Anyone got any recommendations?

Amd £7k pa for rent (and she is in one of the cheaper halls), paid until the middle of July, even though the course ends in May. Absolute rip off!

Dear @RishiSunak Please could you explain why my daughter is paying £9k a year for a university course when she barely has any in-person lectures , the course started at the end of Sept, and finished at the end of May. 1/2

@MaryMorris72 @ukhomeoffice I, along with students, could see this happening from my classroom window. A poor mum, in her night clothes, with a toddler in her arms, walking up and down our school driveway. 😢

@ECR_Maths 2B wasn't great either. One of my girls was in tears 😢 One question started 'Write a report....' What does that even mean on a maths paper? 😡

@MrsJewell2 Can you go down the lines of some people wrongly think 1 is a prime so to avoid giving marks for that incorrectly, the examiners chose to only accept square numbers > 1? It’s not ideal but the only reason I can think of.

Help please! Currently marking mocks. We are awarding B0, as per the mark scheme. How do we explain to the student why it is not a B1?

@GillianKeegan Have you lost your mind? 25 million lost days? If that is the case, I teach five lessons a day, with 30 kids in each lesson. 5 x 30 x 5 means I teach 750 hours a week. #liesliesandshitstatistics

Last year, school strikes resulted in 25 million school days being lost cumulatively. Children should not have to suffer a repeat of this disruption. I’m announcing that we will introduce minimum service levels in schools so that pupils get the education they need and deserve.

Asked my @kaprospect year 8 tutor group to write me a letter telling about their holiday. One told me that he had done lots of reading 'I didn't really like reading before, but when you find a book you like it is good' 💙
