A key worker parent has just picked her son up from our school and given US chocolates for looking after him. Sure it should be the other way round. Humbling.
So I’ve just received my deployment and found out I’ll be volunteering for 4 weeks at the NHS Nightingale field hospital in London, starting Wednesday. Definitely a sense of trepidation and excitement to get stuck in in such a unique way.
Wearing your 'mask' every days a leader is emotionally draining. Being strong for everybody, remaining positive and professional and jumping from some awful news to a high level meeting with the LA to hearing about a member of staff speaking out of turn etc. wears you down. 😞
