Encouraging my Year 7s to be kind this Christmas and what better way than to create their own “Kindness Calendars” for the season! I’ve already had a lot of “thank yous” and “I’ll get the door for you Miss.”😂

Year 9 had such a lovely experience at the Normandy War Cemetery today. We were all moved by what we saw; it made their subject knowledge come to life.

Barton Group 2025 have been excellent. We’ve had a great long weekend in Berlin for our History trip. The pupils have asked great questions and taken in all the information around them. Thank you Barton group for being fab!! @CCHSBerlin2024 @CCHS_History10

What an amazing and thought-provoking experience the pupils have had in Sachsenhausen concentration camp today. A moment of reflection to start off, with a beautiful prayer led by Mrs Barton on the bus. Martin Niemoller's cell offered the opportunity to reflect on his poem.

Following the news earlier this evening of an incident at the Holocaust memorial, please be assured that we are all safe and well in the hotel. We have spoken to the students to reassure them. All planned activities will be going ahead, unless we are advised otherwise.

We are very grateful to Michael Bibring for coming to Cardiff to speak to Year 9 pupils today. The testimony he gave about his father Harry’s life was moving and engaging. This was an unforgettable experience for our pupils as they move into Year 10 GCSE History. @HolocaustUK
