Last week was all about the Book Fair!

My lovely dad grew up around this area in the 1930s and 40s. He told us about this sign. So delighted to have come across it years later when driving my own children around their grandad’s ‘garden of England’ ❤️

PD can provide the launching point for great teaching, but it doesn't embed it. To do so requires cycles of observation and feedback, targeted questions and prompts, and modeling combined with deliberate practice.

Using different Whole Class Feedback styles this week. Getting Year 9 to track character development in the play Noughts and Crosses and getting Year 8 to evaluate a writer’s skills.

And they have mastered it! I loved seeing this visual in a mock when marking, 11/1 have really thought perceptively and remembered that I don’t want surface analysis! 🙌❄️🧊🥰
