I'm considering changing exam board for GCSE maths. I'd appreciate feedback on OCR in particular.

@MathsNot @mathsjem @missradders Fair point, the papers don't look any more challenging than the AQA ones though.

@MrsSJBell @mathsjem @missradders Although OCR papers are out of a total of 300 marks rather than 240, for the last few exams the percentage (and indeed absolute) mark needed for a grade 4+ has been lower than that for AQA and Pearson. That would usually suggest students have found those papers tougher…

@MathsNot @mathsjem @missradders I've been looking at the papers and the grade boundaries and on the face of it, it looks easier to get a grade 4 or 5 on the foundation tier than my current board

@MrsSJBell @mathsjem @missradders You might, they probably wouldn’t! Can I first ask what the problem is with your current board and why you think OCR might fix that?

@missradders The papers are available on All About Maths if you have access

@MathsImpact The wording insinuated it was a CTS question no? “Write in the form…”, that to me suggests they want manipulation of the LHS. It wasn’t “find the value of a such that…”. Unless I am misinformed. I can’t see the paper until tomorrow.

I'm looking for data that maps what grade students achieve at A level maths versus their GCSE grade. Any suggestions on where I might find this analysis? Thanks @mathsjem @1stclassmaths @MathsNot
