We played a round of mystery word with our Fundations words. I gave clues for my mystery word (digraphs, glued sound, suffix, etc). They wrote all the options, then erased those that didn’t match the rule anymore after I gave more clues. Great teamwork activity.

Over 4000 #cpsbest middle schoolers participated in the 3rd Annual CoMo GeoBee. Tonight the 7 school winners competed to be crowned District Champion. Congratulations to runner up, Sid Mueller of @OMSEagles and to our 3-time repeat Champion, Ben Hanson of @jmscyclones!

Great game for fluency!

We spent 3 days modeling how to write key words to take notes from our reading, write an opening, & detail sentences. Vocabulary lists are the most important thing that helps my writers. With support they can do it! I’m excited to write about technology & national symbols soon.
