to buy books. Are there any charities that donate pre loved books to schools? Anything is better than what we currently have. I really want to turn this around, we are in an incredibly deprived area and I’m sad our children do not have access to high quality texts. Please help!

New to leading reading in my new school. I have audited the book corners in KS2 and I now understand why there is no love of reading. All the books are incredibly ancient, not representative of the children and without any interest to the kids. We obviously do not have any budget

I’ve been through the first set of new Ofsted framework Primary school reports. Makes for very interesting reading. I’ve done some summarising and bits based on all of them as a whole. Key similarities, common strengths/weaknesses etc. Let me know if you’d like a copy.

I must have spoken to well over 100 headteachers across the country recently and they're all saying the same things: Many, many more pupils with complex SEND needs. More challenging behaviour and at a younger age. Too little specialist provision. Frustrated families. Social Services bar too high. Public services skint and burnt out staff. No real Ofsted reform. Falling birth rates. People are angry. Communities in despair. Funding that’s nowhere near enough. Schools are holding the system together but it’s becoming unsustainable - they can't keep asking more and more of staff, with less and less. Something has to give. Without urgent reform and real investment, I'm worried that this could be the year we've all known was coming and education finally breaks.

@mjdaisywrites @annabelwriter My daughter reads super quickly and finishes books in a day - reading slowly is not a bad thing, you’ll want this series to last as long as possible so enjoy every page! You’re going to love it all x

@MrsWelshAHT @annabelwriter I'm such a slow reader, I've only recently finished the first one. Now at least the rest are all out there ready for me to dig into when I have the funds to buy them! Glad to hear it's a satisfying ending. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Sadly, I have now finished this masterpiece. I have cried and smiled and laughed out loud. It was the most beautiful way to end the series, and even though I am sad it is over, I think readers will feel satisfied with the conclusion. @annabelwriter has outdone herself. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
