Yes indeed! This is why I always make it a point to speak only about the positive & happy moments of motherhood to family & friends & keep anything else private w/ hubby. Speak more about the joy of motherhood, & your atmosphere, environment, & mindset will reflect it 🤎🥰

@ouranometrian2 Yup, definitely a lie. Seems like it's kind of standard to hurt for a bit

So one of the things they always say about breastfeeding is it should never hurt...but after 2 babies those first 2 weeks or so hurt? It goes away and there aren't any signs of poor latch but like my nipples kinda just hurt I think for hormonal reasons. There must be nuance to the pain that no is explaining

I pray to God all the time to help me be a calm and joyful mother and He really said “let me give you constant opportunities to practice being calm and joyful even when it’s hard.”

Man... it's so cool being a daddy. I love how my wife and I's teamwork has increased so much. And I'm slowly getting better at diapers, bottles, and burping. Of course, my wife is a total natural! I feel like I waited my whole life for this adventure 💖

The only homes we now see are perfectly curated posts on instagram, it feels like everyone else has it together but us, so of course, it’s hard to invite people in, if inviting in means opening up to judgment rather than help and understanding. People think if the house is not perfect they cannot have anyone over, they think if the meal is simple it is somehow embarrassing, but real hospitality has never been about impressing people. It has always been about making them feel wanted.

If my kid went to public school, he’d already be diagnosed with ADHD and they’d probably be pushing drugs. Instead, whenever he gets hyper, I let him outside to search for bugs. Homeschool is pretty great.

Last week, Rebecca Grossman—the woman who killed my two precious boys, Mark and Jacob, by speeding through a crosswalk—made a request that I would go visit her in prison… to “see the circumstances she is in.” And that she is “A victim” I’m still trying to process how someone could make such a request. While I can only imagine how difficult her life behind bars must be, the truth is this: I would trade places with her in a heartbeat. I would live in any prison cell, under any conditions, for the rest of my life… if it meant my beautiful boys could be alive again—laughing, dreaming, growing up, and chasing every beautiful future they deserved.
