I was replying to a reply to the OP, about why TS's tour is dominating social media. Artistically they're both awesome & I like B's music more, but TS has mastered PR & created a whole PR buzz around A) her re-releases (playing the victim, owning HER songs), B) the tour itself which is more unique to most tours than B's (which while awesome is more of a standard kick ass concert/tour). So whereas B's tour may pull in more $, there's just something more unique/different about TS' tour & some of it stems from A & B. There's also how tickets sold out & re-sell for a fortune. Then I added that at 33 vs 41, TS seems to have risen in popularity and over time may be seen as a more successful artist... but it came across as a knock (not intended, but I 100% understand how my tweet came across) against B. FWIW, I'm a bigger B fan as I like R&B more than pop/country.

The Taylor Swift Era’s tour is a global phenomenon but I don’t think many people realize the economic, physical, and artistic feat these shows really are: - The show is 3hrs and 25 minutes long. - Each concert is 44 songs, divided into 10 acts that portray each of her albums. - Taylor wears 40 different outfits each night. - It’s rumored to have cost upwards of $100m to produce. - It is on track to gross more than $1B, the biggest in concert history. Like this thing is top tier theatrics.

In my outline (I've budgeted different word counts for different subsections) the current book chapter I'm working on is supposed to be 12,200 words, not counting footnotes or endnotes. What will the actual length be that I submit to my editor? Closest guess gets a free copy. Fine print: * If it gets split into multiple chapters it's the combined length that counts. * Chapter is primarily about sportsbetting but also with considerable material on the evolution of Las Vegas and the casino industry generally. Very well-sourced, I'm excited for people to read it!
