@catherineroyuk This is a huge part of the counselling I give when I see women in consultant midwife clinic. It’s not an informed decision if you don’t discuss all the possible outcomes & safe alternatives which must include c/s.

Someone who expressed a wish for no forceps antenatally should have been counselled about caesarean at full dilation & planned caesarean *during antenatal care*. But normal birth policies preferred keeping women in ignorance & push for vaginal delivery. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
