बौद्ध संस्कृतीचे अस्तित्व प्रियदर्शी चक्रवर्ती सम्राट असोक महानमुळे जीवंत आहे. महाबोधी महाविहार बांधणारे,बौद्ध विहार ही संकल्पना ज्यांची आहे त्याच विहारात त्यांची प्रतिमा मिळत नाही बाकी सगळे असतात. ज्यांचे बौद्ध धम्मात काही योगदान नाही. कोणत्याही धर्माच्या धार्मिक स्थळी जैन, क्रिस्ती, मुस्लिम, शिख, हिंदू त्यांचे धर्मातील देवाशिवाय कुणाचीच मुर्ती नसते. मात्र आम्ही आमचे विहार हे राजनैतिक मंच बनवून ठेवले. प्रियदर्शी चक्रवर्ती महान सम्राट असोकानंतर धम्म पुनःजीवित करून त्याचा प्रसार फक्त बोधिसत्व डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांनी केला. त्यांनी आम्हाला आमच्या मूळ धम्मात आणले. डॉ बाबासाहेबांचे स्वप्न बौद्धमय भारत होते. भारताची ओळख ज्या 3 महापुरुषांमुळे आहे अशा 3 महापुरुषांशिवाय कुणाचीच फोटो बौद्ध विहारात नसावी. बौद्ध विहार हे बौद्धांचे धम्म स्थल आहेत. आणि महान सम्राट असोक जयंती महाराष्ट्रात कुठेच साजरी केली जात नाही. विहारात ज्यांची फोटोच नाही त्यांची जयंती काय साजरे करतील??? 😣😢
