@NikRiz66 @ShoeburyL @MartinSLewis You’re company should have employee discount schemes. Check out your policies or speak to hr see if there is such a scheme.
English

@ShoeburyL @MartinSLewis Yes we do, that’s a staff perk for supermarket workers. What I’m saying is we worked throughout and have never been offered discounts on days out, restaurants etc, etc. Just doesn’t seem fair to me 🤷♀️
English

Teachers can now get the Blue Light Card, giving access to 1,000s of discounts. See this link for full info and how to get it… #bluelight" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">moneysavingexpert.com/deals/discount… #MartinLewis

@katieheffe @MrNickKnowles Yes. Im vege and get annoyed we get lumped in with the fake cheese eating vegans!
English

@MrNickKnowles Ah I meant more that your vegan option would take care of the vegetarians, pescatarians etc - not suggesting wedding should be entirely plant-based! As a vegetarian it is annoying all restaurant veg options are vegan catch-alls but as a wedding guest it would be totally fine!

@Truthfairy74 Yr 9 options? Mine picked their options in yr 9 to take in yr 10 & 11. They can be so boring if no interest in the subjects. Mine picked Geography, creative imedia, history and IT.
English

Y9 options are too difficult with a son who doesn’t enjoy school and hasn’t a single clue what he wants to do as a job. Not even got any interests beyond WWE and football. How can I help him? #edutwitter #GCSE
English

@Dorastar1 @Truthfairy74 This is what i done with my daughter and the college prospectus. She picked Animal Management in the end. Loving it so far!
English

@Truthfairy74 Score of 1-10
Do you like the subject?
Do you want to do more of it?
Is it going to be too hard/too easy for you?
It's a stepping stone to the next thing, as are A levels, takes the pressure off a bit. Plenty of time to narrow life choices down later on & change your mind too

@caroldecker @QualityStreetUK I bought the cardboard tubs this yr rather than the plastic. But agree they do not taste as they used to. I mean the toffee pennies don’t almost pull out my teeth now! Much softer and not the hard toffee it once was! Also much smaller
English

@BACOLL6 @SwailesRuth Erm! Mechanics a d plumbers have to have brains to pass their courses as most go upto level 3 now. Also much more technology behind an engine than ‘back in the day’ its not just a manual labour job!
English

@SwailesRuth I suspect a working class curriculum would include bricklaying, plumbing, car mechanics and operating a supermarket till. Keep them in their box.
English

I work with hundreds of schools and have never heard anyone refer to a “working class curriculum”
Amanda Spielman@amanda_spielman
Claire Stoneman on cracking form. I have heard too many heads and MAT CEOs tell me that their working-class children needed a working-class curriculum, and not in a good way.
English

@ahchoen @richardosman Thierry Henry of Arsenal vava voom advert was for the renault clio. 😁
English

1. After all these years, va va voom is still in my head. Just that guy saying it forgot what car ad it was.
2. The Indian dude making a knock off Peugeot with a hammer.
3. The Honda car parts video is one of the most brilliant things I've watched.
It all got a bit forgettable after that era.
English

@RogersHistory No. I think it would be more stressful and costly for parents to stay on trend and have various outfits. Uniform is a once annually layout of money in the main. Maybe needing extra shirts or one skirt / trousers during the school yr.
English

@Chelsearory I used to queue at Highbury a month or two before the matches for footy tickets. Sometimes queues were 3 hrs 😂 seemed easier than online.
English

This Oasis situation is dumb. It should be a queue at Wembley Stadium. Overnight. True test of dedication. Like what we had to do for the FA Cup final in 1997. All this internet wizardry is unjust, it favours the drips. Got people sending me pics of computer screens like they work at NASA, what chance have I got?

@JaneFCSupport That’s amazing news. I hope he is ok and settles back in.
English

@CatholicCharm Do they not keep babies with their mums? Here in the uk our babies are with us at all times in the hosp. Unless in special care of course.
