My LAST last day of school @AliefISD . What a ride it has been- 29 years at Boone. Thank you families for trusting me with your most precious gifts. Thank you @boonelementary for being my school family! Once a Boone bear, always a Boone bear.🐻 💗
It’s a great day in PK when you are talking about reptiles & your friend brings her pet reptile to school. We loved Buddy the Bearded Dragon visit us. Parents, ask what your child discovered about reptiles with Buddy’s visit. @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech@MsGray983
Loads of fun today in PK. Finishing STEAM activity of creating a bear cave on land with two trees. You can see some friends holding up their plans in the background. We have LOVED working on the projects this year! @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech
Feeling appreciated this week with breakfast from @Whataburger , fruit from the students, daily notes of encouragement from the hospitality team @KDavis_5K 😊💗
Thank you!!! @boonelementary
We have loved studying about insects. Our STEAM project was to work together & make flying insects. The starting point was the yellow dot. The blue flying insect made it the furtherest for our indoor trial. Outdoor trial tomorrow. Same outcome? 🤷♀️@GraterolSciTech@boonelementary
Finishing up this week’s STEAM activity: helping Frog-E find dinner without becoming dinner. Students planned their route, entered the code, and implemented their plan! @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech
Here are some of our fantastic insects from our previous STEAM activity. They have names, 3 body parts, 6 legs, and 2 antennae. Loads of creativity. @GraterolSciTech@boonelementary
Planning and creating our own insects. They will have 3 body parts, six legs, and 2 antennae. Hoping to share completed insects in the next couple of days. We sure love working on our STEAM projects! @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech
Last week we each created & input a path for Frog-E to a destination of our choice. We forgot to take pictures, we were so involved. Here’s Frog-E waiting to leave his house. Parents, talk about directions forward, backward, left & right. @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech
Throwback to last week when we were planning & constructing our rockets. Friends chose to work individually, in pairs, or in a group of 4. Rockets had a picture of the destination, room for astronauts, & fuel boosters. Great job, engineers! @boonelementary@GraterolSciTech
Alief ISD is closely monitoring the weather. As of this time, we plan for normal school operations tomorrow March 22. Please check the Alief ISD website and the district social media pages for updates.
