@simplyy_devin @LogRL_ @NytroDryft Yep, the 2016 version. But did you know the 2015-early 2016 version was actually more similar to the version we have now? See for yourself :)

@LogRL_ @NytroDryft yeah that’s what it looks like, but what @NytroDryft said you can see the boost in his old videos: youtu.be/LEIMhvsZRzM?si…

@gcindisguise Gold Crush looks almost exactly like 2016 Season 3's changes to alpha boost. This was later reverted in late 2016/early 2017 to what we have now.

English

@LogRL_ @NytroDryft Might be thinking of the altered Gold Rush. It was someone like Kux or Corelli who made a post complaining about Alpha Boost changes in OG Season 3 or smth, which made it thicker and whatnot. So they reverted the change soon after.
English

@Virge As the person who called out SpookLuke's first major shitty action, the 288hr boosted GC, I have continually lost respect for that man when he privated his apology video entirely, never actually contacted me despite 2 to 3 times requesting to do so, etc etc. Weasel/snake greeD mf
English

To those who've supported me:
Last year, I announced a partnership with SpookLuke. I want to clarify that as of August 2024, due to some differences in our vision for the GCB, we amicably parted ways. I didn’t speak on it publicly at the time because I was sorting through the legal matters to protect myself and my future plans.
When I joined Luke to help run the GCB, it was under the promise that I’d be able to make meaningful changes to the program, particularly to its pricing structure and how coaches were compensated. I felt strongly that the original pricing model was too high and that the coaches were not receiving a fair share for the work they were putting in.
At first, I was able to implement big changes, including reducing the price by over 30%. But even then, it wasn’t enough for where I ultimately wanted the program to go. My goal was to continue lowering the cost while increasing the coaches' share, because their time and expertise were the product. We were essentially serving only as their affiliate-marketing partners, and I believed the price should better reflect the value for the community and be more accessible to everyone.
After a month, Luke began pushing to raise the price again. That’s when I realized our priorities didn’t align. My vision was centered on creating a space where the broader Rocket League community could connect with pros, whether to learn, improve, or just enjoy the experience of playing together. A space for passionate, like-minded players to grow and make lasting connections.
It became clear that Luke was more focused on treating it strictly as a business, and that created friction. I wasn’t comfortable watching a community I’ve poured so many years into, through competing, content creation, and coaching, become something that didn’t reflect those values. I especially didn’t like seeing talented coaches being undervalued.
I started voicing my concerns immediately and frequently. Not long after, Luke made the decision to terminate our contract, and we went our separate ways.
I’m not sharing this to throw shade at Luke. He seemed like a good person at first, maybe just influenced by business mentors who didn't fully grasp the nuances of Rocket League and its community. But I slowly learned he was not the person I thought he was, so Im just sharing my side so you understand why I’ve been quiet, in preparation for what’s coming next.
Some of you know I’ve started flight school and I’m working toward becoming a career pilot. But behind the scenes, I’ve also been quietly building something, a project I’m passionate about, something I believe will give back to the RL community long after I’ve moved on.
I’m excited about it. I hope you will be too.
If you’ve read this far, thank you for your continued support. You’ve helped me chase my dreams, and I’m forever grateful. ❤️

@ryukoxrose @liafeon_x Last one would make pad routes more important, no? Corner pad refers to the large boost pads that respawn after 10 seconds. Increasing them to something like 15 seconds would make the 4-second mid-field pads more important.
English

@liafeon_x The last one I’ll instantly like (but I can see why people wouldn’t like it as the importance of pad routes would diminish)
The other three, if implemented at the same time (& properly), would make things more interesting in the pro level but would make the learning curve ⬆️

if this is real I’ll send $100 to every person who likes this tweet

ROCKET LEAGUE 2 LEAKED!
English

@Olly010111 @Xe__OS @displaymason @Lethamyr_RL @RocketLeague That is not the root cause, though. High rank disparity playing together did not stop people being boosted. Rank rewards are an incentive to people. The prestige and stature itself, is also an incentive. And "lizard brain go brrrrr" (the amygdala).
English

@Xe__OS @displaymason @Lethamyr_RL @RocketLeague Yes and I think that is damaging to the game.
I think they are better off tackling the root cause. That being, the lack of a casual way to play the game. Friends with a high rank disparity have no way to play together. Casual gameode is the worst part about the game
English

@00maiku Mechanics and physics are mostly done through Bullet physics, not UE3's. So it's not as dependent on UE3 for gameplay as you might expect. I do believe the game has an engine issue, considering it took them 10 years to update custom training due to "technical debt" (their claim)
English

@JamieHicks35 @gcindisguise @JamaicanCocoRL Someone has never put in random "123" or "abc" or "111" or "000" name/passwords to enter random private match. There's LOTS of wacky mutator private match from evidently casual-style players.
Casual doesn't mean queuing playlists named casual, but to play unserious and relaxed.
English

@gcindisguise @JamaicanCocoRL Also casual players don’t play private games with mutators they queue casual
English

Theoretically, being a game developer is one of the most fulfilling jobs you could ask for. You get to work on a game and make great changes to it, and you get to see thousands of people happy about improvements made towards the game.
Unless you're a RL dev. Then, no matter what you do, it's never going to be enough. I don't understand why this community is so determined to just shit on everything that the RL devs do.
This update is objectively good, adding the ability to put mutators in a private match that people have been asking for, for a long time. It also comes out with a new map which looks dope, a new crossbar ping sound, a new creator spotlight for @Athena with a title for her in-game.
I understand that people want it all, but it's unrealistic from a game dev standpoint to add every single one of the community's asks every single time an update comes out. And it's incredibly tiring to just see overwhelming negativity no matter what the RL team puts out.
I am not gonna sit here and pretend that they are doing EVERYTHING right, of course there are things that need to be improved. But would it kill the RL community to every once in a while to recognize some positive aspects of an update instead of purely focusing on the negatives?
No wonder the RL dev team doesn't communicate with us as a community any more. No matter what they put out people would just shit on them constantly. Y'all are tiring.
English

@RentalRackal @Yung_HandHolder @RapidRL @JamaicanCocoRL The only reason why we got free play ball controls, boost meter in UI, teammate demo'd sound, etc etc, is entirely because they hired a 3rd party modder, CinderBlock on their team. Who I believe worked within the BakkesMod framework.
English

@Yung_HandHolder @RapidRL @JamaicanCocoRL They should just let whoever works on Bakkes mod be developers. PC players have had this shit forever. There’s so much more shit from bakkes mod they could add so easily.
English

@JamaicanCocoRL @Gr0wlii I expect quality and true communication. Not fake hype and rumors. But I knew better, because Psy is a shell of its former self.
Also, not hard to come up with good casual features. Demo sharing, theater mode, halo 3 "file share", in-game UI to search Custom Training, etc etc
English

@Gr0wlii What would rocket league need to do for u to consider it a good update?
If you expect them to cater updates to people with thousands of hours in the game you're just being delusional. I think this is a great update for the casual players
English

the 'big update' these content creator shills gassed up was deadarse a map and some mutators just give it up bro

Experience the next generation of competition ⚽️ Season 18 takes off on March 14! rl.gg/season-18
English

@saladrl UI elements sticking, particularly with selection wheels in replays and spectating.
Rank Disparity issues. Both clients need a refresh from PsyNet. But also, BakkesMod causes it more often somehow.
Stuck trying to claim weekly/season/event challenges, have to close the game.

@seishin_rl @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 Irrelevant nonsense is "you would not still play". Not relevant to the topic at hand in any capacity. Weird to bring up. But also, a dumbass assumption. Here's a screenshot of me playing when this game only had 17k concurrent players. Way, way "deader" than now.
Weird assumption.

English

@MsCinderRawr @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 It's been a thing in COD for longer than RL exists and our community is weird enough to make a fuss about it? Just be happy that you still got that many players in this game otherwise you would not be playing this game still
English

@seishin_rl @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 "We don't care about who we might hurt and won't listen. We only care about people looking up to us (to stroke our very evident fragile egos)" is all you actually mean.
If you care about the game and don't want downtalk, stop breaking the rules and put in the work, no shortcuts.
English

@MsCinderRawr @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 If it bothers you, don't interact with it. We didnt ask for your opinion, neither do we care. We care about the people that find this inspiring and wanna pursue greater heights with the Game and not downtalk this. Mute the acc and every fs related thing, i beg.
English

@seishin_rl @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 Irrelevant nonsense. Bad things existing for a while and in other communities doesn't mean it's not bad. Also, older COD trickshotting didn't have aggressive skill-based MM which publicly exampled trickshotters. Different content entirely.
I played when this game was niche, lmao
English

@seishin_rl @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 1. The devs literally singled out Freestylers and banned them for abusing casual MMR a couple years ago, possibly a few.
2. If you view any posts from developer Psyonix_Corey who worked on said MMR system, he refers to it as a "skill based matchmaking system" in Casual.
English

@MsCinderRawr @FrowzySquirrel @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 It's casual, there is no skill level to be measure you just get a virtual set MatchMakingRating that is purely there to determine to play against the same MMR people. Do you see any Term called "Skill" or "Rank" ? Me neither. Its casual. They can leave if they want.
English

@FrowzySquirrel @seishin_rl @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 They can't think for ONE second that it's also bad to cheat by manipulating MMR to be 'wrong' (=inaccurate to your skill level)
English

@FrowzySquirrel @seishin_rl @AYYJAYYRL @mysmysmysmys @TeamTenjinRL @Aerohz7 It's just absurd. They come up with EVERY excuse they can under the book to circumvent existing rules in the Code of Conduct. They go as far to go "it's bad to cheat (by faking clips)" and they can't think for ONE second that it's also bad to cheat by manipulating MMR to be wrong
English
