I’ve tracked some of my old students down that are in 5th grade this year (I was their 3rd and 4th teacher) and at least 80% of them told me math is their fav subject

We have done sooooooo much work with multiplication the past few weeks. Today a student said, “you just add a zero” and another student replied “ you mean it’s 10 times bigger you didn’t ADD a zero!” #itsworking #iteachmath #mtbos #kippatx #bridgesmath

@MsGabrielson @louiseseeley Great response. I always joke and tell my class that saying, "Just add a zero," is like swearing in maths. They find it funny and never forget it. They normally gasp and correct people (including parents) whenever they hear anyone utter the words.🤭
