@MrDanielBuck The problem in elementary is the number of complex needs. If there are no behaviours or intense learning needs, maybe. But when you have multiple kids with severe behaviours, and kids who can't read and write in older grades, they need 1-1 support, but are in classes of 30.

I have not done this, it's just an idea I get when kids seem checked out. I think being involved in the greater good would be empowering.

@TheRealJamieKay Teachers lean left because kids don’t choose their parents. When you work with that reality every day, it’s hard to believe their outcomes should rest solely on “personal responsibility” instead of shared responsibility.
