Today, I visited Anima Mundi, part of the Vatican Museum with Indigenous “artifacts” kept in the Church’s private collection. There is an “Ontario”pipe stove from the 18th century, Haida Gwaii masks from the 18th Century, much more. I photographed them and was asked to leave.

Teachers using Culturally Responsive/Relevant Pedagogy as their philosophical & theoretical approach must also focus on raising critical consciousness of students. It’s not just about culture.

I've had two people recently tell me that a conversation with a student is not a valid or reliable form of assessment data. You ever see a kid try to cheat on a conversation? I mean, maybe we just have more secret ventriloquists in our schools than I realized.

Astounding? You inherit a world class education system and three years later you have eroded its support so much you don't even mention it in a throne speech. The best education systems in the world are supported by govts that show they value students, families and communities.
